Your request for a variance has been reviewed; a variance is not required in this case. First, the depth of Lot 8 along the east property line'is actually 82.09 feet, not the 77 feet shown on the plan submitted. Second, an "average garage setback", can be used, i.e., due to the curve in the property line caused by the cul-de-sac bulb, measure the required 18 foot setback from the midpoint of the driveway. Staff has used this interpretation previously in a similar case; please be aware that this interpretation does not apply to lots which have a straight property line abutting a street.
