Plans Review: Brentwood Estates Phase III-3rd group Spiral-type 2 and 3 bedroom 4-
plexes. Job numbers COM2005-00628 (Building 136) and COM2005-00629 (Building
142). Occupancy Classification: R-2. Construction Type: V-B.
Plans show example building numbers as discussed. Building numbers shall be visible
from the street fronting the building. Unit numbers to be added. Odd numbers for units
north and east, even numbers for units south and west. Numbers starting at 100 going to
500 depending on location of unit at the site as previously discussed with FMO.
Provide fire extinguishers with a minimUm rating of 2-A: I O-B:C every 75 feet of travel
distance. The top of the extinguisher(s) shall be between 3 and 5 feet above finished floor
(2004 Springfield Fire Code 906).
Combustible construction shall not commence until after SUB has installed underground
fire lines and hydrants and provide data from hydrant flow tests (SFC 1412.1).
Fire department apparatus access must be in place prior to the start of combustible
construction (SFC 1410.1). Apparatus access roads shall support an 80,000 lb. load (SFC
503.2.3).
No parking signage shall be posted per SFC 503.3 and SFC Appendix Dl03.6.
Landscaping: A 3 foot clear space shall be maintained around the circumference of fire
hydrants (2004 SFC 508.5.5).
