Field Observations and Comments
Performed periodic visual inspection of the following items: 1). Seam Welds and Puddle Welds on connector area
between Areas 2 and 3 (grid line H to J from 4.8 to 6.0). Note: Puddle welds have been' completed and are in
conformance with project plans and applicable AWS D1.1 codes. However, seam welds are not completed and
need repairs prior to roofing. Re-inspection is required.
2). Seam Welds and Puddle Welds on Roof Area east of Mechanical pad (gridline J to M from 6 to 8). These welds
have not yet been completed and need to be re-inspected prior to roofing.
Weldments were inspected for size, length, profile and locations, To the best of our knowledge, the work inspected is in
conformance with approved drawings, specifications and applicable AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.4 codes. The following
items were in non-conformance: See note above in item (1). Contactor was asked to notify our office when
additional services are needed.

Performed visual inspection of reinforcing steel at the following locations: columns for covered playground on south side
of new structure. Reinforcing steel was checked for grade, size, lap, placement and clearances where applicable.
Reinforcing steel was secured using tie wire and supported on concrete dobie blocks. Reinforcing was placed j~
accordance with approved design drawings and specifications. Contractor was asked to notify our office when additional
services are needed. To the best of our knowledge, the work inspected above was in accordance with the building
department approved design drawings, specifications and applicable workmanship provisions of the International
Buildinq Codes.
