Met on-sit with Dennis Cacn (Brown Contracting) to observe exposed subgrade
soils under new concrete bus lane paving on west side of platform and under
private heavy vehicle asphalt paving area near the bank. The following three (3)
trips were made to the site:
Dav One_ 02-16-09
An area approximately 30' long at the south end of the bus lane paving and the
entire heavy vehicle asphalt area were exposed.
Da\( Two, 02-17-09 .
A 30' area near the center of the bus lane paving was exposed.
Da\( Three. 02-18-09
A 30' 'area near the north end of the bus lane paving was exposed:
Advised by Mr. Cacn that the area has been excavated to an elevation
approximately 2'-10" below finish paving grade. Based on our observations and
probing with a 5/8" steel T -shaped soil probe, the materials appear firm and stable,
at this time. Recommended area not be left exposed to inclement weather
conditions.
Mr. Cacn was asked to notify our office when additional services are needed.
