Dear Sirs,
In September of2007 I bought the property referenced above. The original plan was for my son and I to
work on it and for it to become his first house. We had hoped to clean it up and live there while we did
repairs. It turned out to be way more of a project than we had planned. Multiple financial, medical and
personal issues added to our problems. I think the turning point was when someone broke in and stole the
entire electrical system days after it had been put in.
At the point I realized I was in over my head I changed to licensed contractors with the intention of selling
or renting out the property. Ed Mathews from your office has informed me a general contractor was also
needed. I did not realize I still was not in compliance. I was not trying to break the law. Enclosed is a list of
contractors used. For the record I had been working with a general contractor in the beginning but he turned
out to be dishonest.
As things are now this house has become more of a financial burden than I can handle. 1 can not refinance
to payoff my loans and don't think the federal government is going to bail me out. My only option is to
sell. I am sorry that due to my lack of knowledge proper procedures weren't followed. Please let me know
what I need to do to legally sell this house.
