ATTENTION: David Reesor
REGARDING: SUB2006-00029
Applicant: Don Horton - Section 35.050 of the Springfield Development Code.
MY LOCATION: TL 2200 in Royal Ridge and just behind the proposed subdivision Lot #8.
COMMENTS:
1. During the winter/spring months there is so much water running through the back of
my lot that 1 keep a ditch cleaned out to contain the flow. When we have several days
of heavy rain the water runs through my back yard and must be ditched to keep it
from running under the porch and house. How will you handle the drainage/water
run off, as it will run through the back of lots #6, 8,10, and # I I?
2. Water pressure in royal Ridge is very low. How will the new subdivision affect our
water pressure?
3. The size of the lots are so very small...that means we will have a potential forrentals
built and that will lower the value of our homes, and some will have two houses
facing their homes. If it is the worry about Urban sprawl... It seems unfair to crowd
houses into the city (next to very nice homes) and allow those with more money to
purchase land and lots in the suburban areas.
4. Will there be a traffic flow check... as now it is so difficult to get out of Glacier St
onto 57th because of the new Jasper Spur. Will a light be installed at 57th and Jasper
Spur to allow traffic onto 57'h Street? Twelve homes in the proposed subdivision plus
the now 34 homes in Royal Ridge with only one way out to 57'hwill create a traffic
back up problem.
5. There is a discussion about my back fence (which has been there for over 10 years)
not being in the right place. I have talked with Don Horton, but need time to settle
the matter fairly.
Thank you for the opportunity to send comments.
