Lioled bdaw are our comments for thcabove referenced development proposal:
1. The proposed development is currently pal1ially within the service territory of the Ra nbow Water
District and partially within our service terrilory. The service territory of the Rainbo' 'Water
District will be served by RWD until July 1, 2007, at which time SUB will become t e water
service provider. TIle water line has already been installed in our service territory, s( no furthcr
constmction is required in SUB's service territory,
2. ^ 11 new water system facilities and modifications to water systcm facilities both insic ~ and
adjacent to the proposed development shall be placed in streel right-of-way at a locat )n and depth
of bury that meets lhc'standards ofthe Still Water Divioion. .
3. All water facility materials shall be to a slandard that must meet SUB Water Divisior.

4. All workmanship shall bc performed to meet or exceed SUB Water Division constrUl lion

5. Size of walerline and other facilities. including water mcters, must meet the need" of he SUB
Water Division and the long-range need., of the City. These needs inclode, but are n' t limited to,
meter location and access, sizes ofw3leT distribution and transmission lines, pumpinl facilitics,
and communication lines.

8. Water service facilities will be installed upon collection of development charges. Dc 'elopment
policies and charges identified in this letter are subject to change. Actual charges wi . be those in
effect at the time water servicc is requested.
9. Spril1gfi~ld has several wellhead protection areas. Ninety percetit of Springfield's dri Iking water
comes from wells. Tn every instance, care shall be taken to prevent groundwater con! ,mination.
Contractors/developers/owners shall be responsible for the safe handling and storage ,f chemicals,
petrolcum products, fertili~ero, and the prevention of groundwater and stonn water n IOff
contamination.
Special requircments may be necessary for groundwater protection at this developme l. Contact
Amy Chinitz at Springfield Utility Board Water Division for details at 726-2396.
