Inspection of Foundation Fill
At your request, we have inspected the in-place density of granular fills placed on the SUbject foundation pad,
The fill consists of approximately 6to 3D-inches of a mix of 1 V,-inch minus and 'A-inch minus dense graded
crushed aggregate,

We inspected the placement and compaction of the dense graded crushed aggregate. Adequate compaction
was determined in the field from test strips and visual estimation of optimum water content. This material was
placed in 12-inch maximum lifts and compacted, Compaction was achieved by rolling the pad with a high
capacity vibratory.steel drum roller until there was no significant deflection Of the granular material at the edge of
the roller observed.
We recommend approval of the foundation fill, as constructed, by the building oftlclal,
