RE:18q"l,s"i'l~Pla~ II S 32nd, and 815 S 32nd, Srringficld - Site inspection and compaction report
- Job #477-07 ' I .
As you requested, a site investigation was performed aln September 10,2007, The sites contain
imported fill material which consists of clay loam soil~ of unknown origin and bar run gr"vds. The
sites were exeavatcd thru this material to suitable bear\ng strata, which is a silty/clay loam with a United
Soil Clnssification of ML-CL, After the sites were exclavated'to suitable bearing material, imported
crushed rock was installed and compacted, The maxirhum depth of the crushed rock is 24 inches,
On Septelilber 13,2007, a compaction inspection wa~ performed. The compaction of the gravel
surface is greater 95% of a standard proctor and a bearing capacity of 1500 psf can be used in the
design of the foundation, As with any imported fill mAterial, being in situ or crushed rock, there is a
potential for settlement. The maximum settlement th~t can be anticipated of these sites is Y/' to :Y,",
which will not affect the structural integrity of the prepared pad or proposed structure,
