Melon-site with Dennis Cacn (Brown Contracting) to observe exposed subgrade
soils under new concrete paving at west end of pedestrian walkway. Advised by
Mr. Cacn that area has been excavated to a proposed finished subgrade elevation'
of :1:430.00'. Based on our observations and probing with a 518' steel T-shaped soil
probe, the exposed materials appear firm and stable, at this time. Recommended
area not be left exposed to. inclement weather conditions. Mr Cacn staled fabric
and crushed rock base will be placed as soon as electrical conduit ins'tallation is
completed. Mr. Cacn was asked to notify our office when additional services are
needed.

Performed inspection on the reinforcing steel for crosswalk between the pedestrian
walkway and the mall. Reinforcing steel was checked for size, grade, laps, quantities,
locations, ties, clearance and supports.
Observed the placement of 8.5 yards of Eugene Sand and Gravel 3000 psi concrete
(mix 313065) into area noted above. Concrete was placed directly from truck and was
mechanically consolidated. Cast one (1) set of four (4) 4" x 8" test cylinders. Notified
Adam Hughes (Brown Contracting) of on-site results. Concrete temperature- 68F: air
lemperature- 42F; slump- 6": air content- 8.0%.
Me. Hughes was asked to nolily our office when additional services are needed.
To the beslof our knowledge, the work inspected was in accordance with plans dated
03"12-08 and applicable workmanship provisions of the I.B.C., except if noted above.
