RE: Draft AIS's for Galeeran and 57th St Prop LLC
Thanks Paula and Megan, I will review these ASAP, I am completing edits on the Galceran annexation ,staff report and will
return it for your review early tomorrow,
I managed to convince Public Works to support annexation of two frontage pieces of County Road (even though the 57th
Street Properties situation is a no-brainer), but I'm not sure they would support extending that to the rest of South 57th
Street (north of the site) without a lengthy discussion, Unfortunately, due to time constraints I don't think we can answer
the larger question of why not annex more of South 57th Street before the staff reports are due, I think we should proceed
with annexation of the segment along the property frontage (not ideal, I know) and remind City Council of the piecemeal
approach that has been used on City/County roads in the past - which now translates to headaches in the present.
Thanks for your patience and understanding I '
Andy

Hi Andy and Jim: Attached are Draft AIS's for Galceran and 57th St Prop LLC for your review, As with the Staff Reports,
there are issues to address (ASAP!):
1, Galceran: What is the status of annexing the right-of-way with Galceran? I believe the most recent e-mail is Paula's
response about annexing the entire rlw, not to the centerline, If we take care of it now; there will be fewer headaches later
(we guarantee it), It would be great to get it resolved so we can put something in the AIS (and Ord,), Otherwise, we need
to explain to the Council why we are not annexing an improved urban standard street...
2, Both: Attachments/Exhibits, Our recommendation: All the exhibits should be part of the Ordinance, not the AIS, This
streamlines everything and avoids redundancies, This would be organized as follows: '
A. AIS (with a reference to the Ordinance as Attachment 1)
B, Attachment 1: Ordinance
Exhibit a, Map/Legal Description
Exhibit b, Staff Report (the staff report includes the Map, Recommendation)
Exhibit c, Consents, Application
Exhibit d, Annexation Agreement
Exhibit e, Mise? Anything else?
