adjacent home owner and have numerous concerns with this application.
The integrity of the neighborhood will be affected by the lot size and to follow the home size that
is planned. This would devalue our entire neighborhood. Lots in this area are generally at least
twice the size of this proposed plan,
The planned 10 homes would put a minimum of 10-20 extra cars for traffic in this area,.traffic
that is barely being maintained with the traffic light at this time, This problem will only be
accelerated when guests come to these homes adding even more traffic problems, and an unsafe
place for neighbors.
This neighborhood consists of older extremely well maintained homes, Building a low value
subdivision as planned would lessen the value of all the neighboring homes and create a safety

Thanks for being patient with me on the phone.
Since I told you my background on the phone and I now realize that
tax lot 1100 has been annexed into the city, I am sending you this
letter so that I will be on the list of people notified when the next
step in the process occurs.
I really do think that a ten lot single family residential subdivision is
not in the best interest of the neighborhood! Therefore I do want to
be able to stand before the planning commission and let my feeling
known.

Dear Sarah Summers,
This letter is in regards to the approval of a proposed new subdivision located at 1880
Hayden Bridge Road, in Springfield.
We do not object to building homes on the property at the above address. However, we
do object to the ten-lot subdivision.
,The propos~d small t~~ I~ts, two story homes will not fit in the pattern of the larger lots,

. Another reason for the objection is the increase of traffic it will bring It is difficult even
now to get out of our driveway because of the heavy traffic we now deal with.
The biggest objection and concern is with the ten- lot subdivision, is that two of the lots
would be adjoining our property. By building two, two story homes there; the windows
of both homes would look directly into our bedroom windows and our back yard, It
would completely take away our privacy. Even jfthey put a wall, fence, or trees there, it
would still not give us our privacy.

Our Position: opposed as presented",
Observations that immediately come to mind are the almost impossible traffic situations
of area schools taking up in the morning and letting out in the afternoon. Our property is
immediately East across 19th from the proposed culdesac and during those traffic
gridlocks I find it impossible to get on the road heading south. It is illso next to
impossible to drive by any of the area schools during this time with out similar problems,
Hayden Bridge Road has "traffic light priority" and an east bound left turn allows left
turns at speeds that don't allow for me to get across the north bound 19th lane in front of
our home, Believe me, "road rage is alive and well",
.Lsuggtlst:tp~ countyr~consider driveways or a street onto Hayden Bridge Road, This
pllJ!l,is not going to work to solve this problem, The developer either needs to make
fewer lots or pay for utility improvements to make it workable, Also, are there any
height restrictions for the various lots, and what 'are they per proposed lot number?
Possible suggestions:
An "L" shaped culdesac off Hayden Bridge that would serve all the properties with a
prohibited left turn sign at Hayden Bridge Road exit.
An "L" shaped cu!4esac at the north property lines of lots proposed .4 and 5 that would
also serve other properties to..the north, south and west.
