RESOLUTION
No. 97-6

Acceptance
WHEREAS, work on the improvement described below has been completed by a private
developer in the City of Springfield as follows: .
King Solomon's Estates (Project 3-952)
and,
WHEREAS, work on this improvement project has been fully completed and inspected
by the City Engineer of the City of Springfield and found to be in conformance with the
requirements of the City of Springfield except for certain drainage related requirements
including installation of catchment area rip rap, drainage cover, maintenance of the silt fence,
removal of sluff fill from abutting properties, and bond or cash deposits to take care of those
requirements and any other similar work, and,
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Engineer that this improvement be
accepted from the private developer involved and permanently included in the improvement
maintenance program of the City of Springfield upon the condition hereinafter specified,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
Springfield does hereby accept for future maintenance the above described project and accepts
said improvement from the contractor involved on the condition that the developer enter into an
agreement with the City of Springfield, through staff, to complete certain requirements such as
the catchment area rip rap, the drainage cover, maintenance of the silt fence through the wet
season and removal thereafter, removal of sluff from abutting properties, and other drainage-
related items, and that agreement include sufficient bond or cash deposits to take care of that and
any other outstanding work.
Adopted by the Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of Springfield, Oregon,
this 18th day of February, 1997.
Adopted by a vote of 5 for and 0 against.
