WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Springfield has authorized the removal of grass and w~eds that constitute a nuisance under the Uniform Fire ,Code Appendix" P. WHEREAS,the properties on which grass and weeds were removed under said Uniform Fire, Code may be more specifically described on the attached list. (List of properties, ownerships, and asse~sments attached hereto and marked "Exhibit A") WHEREAS, property owners have been notified in accordance with Chapter V, Article 1, Section 5-1-5 of the Springfield City Code concerning the proposed liens described on the attached li~t. WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Common Council on November 18, 1996, giving said property owners an opportunity to object to the proposed assessment liens. WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Common Council of the City of Springfield to place liens on the properties so described under the authority of Chapter V, Article ,10f the Springfield City Code. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Finance Director of the City of Springfield be and is hereby directed to add to the lien docket those of the proposed assessment liens which are unpaid by December 20, 1996, upon the properties describedpn the attach,ed list, and benefited by the above described nuisanceabatefuent. ,', . BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Finance Director of the City of Springfield be and is hereby directed to enforce the liens in the same manner as liens for s~reet improvements are enforced.
