A RESOLUTION INITIATING ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD AND REQUESTING THAT THE LANE COUNTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOUNDARY COMMISSION APPROVE THE ANNEXATION IMMEDIATELY. !!! .,",' WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized by ORS 199.490(2)(B) to initiate annexation upon receiving consent in writing from a majority of the electors registered in the territory proposed to be annexed and written consent from owners of more than half the land in the territory proposed to be annexed ::{JXtlf~~t and WHEREAS, the property' owners of certain territory signed a consent to a,nnex (Attachment ~1CC 1 , C 2) * and all registered electors in the territor{have signed a consent to annex,~(AttachmentD4, D2)* and, WHEREAS, sanitary sewer service can be provided in timely manner within the right of way of Blackstone Street and water service will be provided by the Rainbow Water District until the territory is withdrawn from the District and thereafter served by the Springfield Utility Board, and WHEREAS, the territory to be annexed is within the Eugene-Springfield Urban. Growth Boundary, abuts the city limits and can be provided immediately with a full range of urban services, and WHEREAS, the delineation of the urban growth boundary for this territory is described in the legal description in Ag:i~EIDt16xof this Resolution. Attachment E* NOW THEREFORE THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: . Section 1: The Common Council of the City of Springfield does hereby recommend approval of the annexation of the subject territory to the City by the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission, Lane County, Oregon, said territory being described as follows: Lane County Assessor's map 17-03-43 Tax lot 2000 and 2102; and Lane County Assessor's map 17-03-00 Tax Lots 904, 906, and 907 in part as described in xA{,Mll(Qt1IOO1)t~ of this Resolution. Attachments Cl, C2, Dl, and D2* Section 2: The Council further requests that the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission approve the annexation immediately. "";.'
