RESOLUTION
NO. 98-31
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD COMMON COUNCIL SETTING
LOCAL REGIONAL SEWER CHARGES AS SET FORTH IN THE SPRINGFIELD CITY
CODE.
WHEREAS, the City of Springfield has established a system of sanitary and storm
drainage sewer systems; and
WHEREAS, sewer system operation and maintenance and certain capital costs are
paid from revenues derived from sewer user fees; and
WHEREA~, section 4.206 (3) of the Springfield Municipal Code authorizes the setting
of sewer charges by resolution of the Council; and
WHEREAS, a new schedule of sewer user fees is needed to meet budgeted FY98/99
sewer operations and maintenance costs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Springfield that the attached City of Springfield Schedule of Sewer User Fees shall go
into effect July 1, 1998.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Springfield the \ ~ day of June,
1998.

Beginning July 1, 1998 monthly drainage user fees shall be determined as follows:
All real property, with the exception of single family dwellings, shall be charged $2.68
plus the product of the property area (in square feet), runoff coefficient, and $0.627 per
one thousand square feet.
