Wastewater Master Plan Update
WORKSHOP NOTICE
DATE: Wednesday, April 30, 2008
TIME: 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm

Springfield's City Council has directed staff to update the City's existing and outdated
1980 Sanitary Sewer Master Plan. Staff has worked with consultant CH2MHill, to
prepare a draft Wastewater Master Plan update. The update identifies the City's
existing and future wastewater needs, and identifies system improvements to address
those needs. The plan will provide basic data for the City's Capital Improvement
Program and System Development Charge methodology, work in conjunction with the
Wet Weather Flow Management Plan (WWFMP), and provide support to the
engineering and development community. The draft plan is tentatively scheduled for a
public hearing and adoption with the City Council on June 15, 2008.
City staff will be available at the workshop to discuss the draft master plan update and
to answer questions. The draft master plan update is available on the City's web site on

Hard copies of the draft plan are available at the Public Works Department front counter
for $25. Please ask for the engineer-on-duty if you would like a copy.
