One other issue Jon brought to my attention is the need for an easement for the west side fire access
road. Also, since that road is intended only for emergency fire access as discussed at the pre-
submittal meeting for this site (PRE2006-00038), a publicworks lock shall be required on the manual
opening gate.

I will not be able to attend this afternoon's development issues meeting due to. my presence being.
required at the Hawes building for training on the smoke control system for that building. .
Question #3 asked, "Does the Fire Marshal have any comments for the existing access and/or fire
safety?" The answer is no. The existing accesses were previously reviewed and approved under Site
Plan Review DRC2006-00082 for maintenance of the direct west side access from 28th Street as well
as providing the new access from 30th/Commercial Streets. 'Also, the water supply as modified in the
site plan review has also been approved. The DIM submittal proposes no changes.
The one concern I had was that legal access is provided for and maintained to Parcel 2. However, the
shaded are signifying the proposed joint use access driveway has resolved thatconcern.
