Mr. Jim Martin

Eugene, OR 97402
Dear Mr. Martin:
I have received your letter requesting a six month extension to the'Minimum
Development Standards Land Use Compatibility Statement deadline of July 8, 2008.
This deadline was for the submittal of the Site Plan Review application in order to allow
the donation drop-off trailer to remain on the site.
I have amended the Minimum Development Standards Land Use Compatibility
Statement deadline for Site Plan Review submittal in order to keep the donation trailer on
site to January 8, 2008. The building permit must be submitted within six months of the
date the Site Plan Review decision is issued. The applicant/owner of the property may be
required to have a second Pre-Submittal Meetirig as their deadline for submittal of their
Site Plan Review application has also expired.
Please note that the extension by the Planning Division does not negate the current sign
code violations also addressed by Code Enforcement in your warniJig citation. Please
contact Cindie Mott, Code Enforcement Inspector, at (541) 726-3659 to discuss sign code
violations. '

Liz,
Looks like ODOT is still determining what price they will accept for thal-liny corner of the Gibson property that was
vacated, 'Therefore, they are probably a ways out on submitting the Site Plan since that sale needs to happen
first Hope this info helps in you making your decision, Let me know if you have any questions, Thanksl

Dear Ms, Miller,
We are'in receipt of your warning citation case # 2008-176 dated July 18, 2008,
As you are, aware we have an outstanding Minimum Development Standards Land Use
Compatibility Statement on the subject property issued on 6/2/08 and in that statement
the ownerwas required to submit a Site Plan Review application by July 8, 2008,
Dari Mart is ready to submit the application but unfortunately the property does not have
clear title due to an ODOT error, which has caused an unexpected delay. Dari Mart is
currently working with ODOT to rectify the problem but it has taken longer than originally
anticipated. The Springfield Planning Department has previously met with the Dari Mart
Corporation and they are aware of the situation with ODOT.
Goodwill Industries has an agreement with Dari Mart to lease space in the newly
constructed building but because of the delays and the need to collect donations to fulfill
our mission of providing employment opportunities to in'dividuals with barriers to
employment, the temporary donation trailer has served as a resource for our donors and
the individuals we serve,
As a result of these unforeseen circumstances Goodwill Industries, a local non-profit
organization providing services in Lane County since 1954, respectfully requests a 180-
day extension to fulfill the requirements of the Minimum Development Standards, Land
Use Compatibility Statement.
Thank you foryour consideration,
Respectfully submitted,
