Molly,
That sounds like a good direction. Thanks for the input.

Matt,
I'd feel more comfortable if you asked for a 90-day extension. That way we can re-evaluate the situation in a few
months and see where you are at that time. . Letting a year lapse in between pre-submittal and submittal can
result in a lot of things falling through the cracks, so we'd like to avoid that if possible. Of course, negotiating with
ODOT is never easy, so we will work with the client if more time is needed after the initial 90-day extension. Be
sure to tell us where the client is in the negotiations with ODOT and what is needed to be done by both parties for
the issue to be resolved so we have a sense at least of whether or not it is likely to take longer than an additional
three months. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! '

Molly,
I am drafting my letter for extension. I think I can account our process thus far, however I don't think that I can
project a submittal date since this is in ODOT's hands. Should I request an additional 180 days?
Thanks

Matt,
I just wanted to touch base with you and see where your client is regarding the Site Plan for the Gibson property
on Main Street in Springfield. The deadline for keeping the case active is April 9, which is about three weeks
away. If your client would like to keep the case active and is planning on submitting a complete application after
that date, I will need a letter requesting the extension and explaining why the request is necessary and when the
application will be expected to be submitted. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
