Met on-site with Adam Hughes (Brown Conlracting) and ~oe McCormack (L TD) to
observe excavation of three (3) small exploratory test pits near the pedestrian
walkway footings at lines C22, C28 and C36. The 'pits were excavated to proposed
bottom of footing elevation of :!: 427.40'. .The existingl soil at the base of the
excavations at C36 and C28 appears to be native to the area and relatively firm and
stable, at this time. The material at C22 is relatively soft,! but stable. Advised Mr.
McCormack and Mr. Hughes Ihat once actual footing excavation work is under,way,
'our geotechnical engineer will be scheduled to visit the site and evaluate the soil
conditions for bearing capacity in relation to ttie project design criteria. Mr. Hughes
was asked to notify our office when additional services' are1required.
