There are two essentially identical dry pipe systems, one for each building being served off of a single private nndergronnd fire line that splits to serve each sprinkler riser. Each system is hydranlically calcnlated to an Ordinary Hazard Class II with miscellaneous storage np to 12 feet in height. The revised calcnlation is .20 gpm/sq. ft. over 1950 sq. ft. (30 percent increase over 1500 sq. ft. due to dry pipe system). Total capacity: 773 gallons. Per phone conversation with Steve Cartales, there will be accelerators connected to the valves (not shown on plans). The system will protect both 1st and 2nd noors nsing a "tree" pattern. Sprinklers used are Reliable model FIFR qnick respon" frangible bulb npright 5.6K 155 degree rated sprinkler heads. Provide sprinkler coverage in the elevator pit per NFPA 13,2007 . edition, 8.15.5. Per phone call with Steve Cartales, branch line restraints will be provided using extended rods or Toleo surge protectors meeting NFPA 13,2007 edition, 9.3.6.1 and 9.3.6.3.
