Dear Mr. Pleger:
This letter is in response to our phone conversation
on June 8, 1983.
Due to the nature of this used semi-portable sawmill,
there was no design weights and forces available. The
anchor bolts were sized upon empirical design and
examination. These anchor bolts were constructed from
A-36 steel rod and, therefore, high strength tightening
procedures do not apply. It is general practice, within
the sawmill" industry, to snug the anchor bolt nut and
provide a second jamb nut or provide a lock washer.
