Dear Mr. Hill:
On July 13, 1998, a notice to stop all work was issued for the construction project at the
above referenced address. Subsequent to the placement of this notice, on July 29, 1998, I
authorized the completion of the steel roof deck in order to complete the roof diaphragm
necessary for the structural stability of the concrete wall panels. All other aspects of the
original notice to stop work remained in place.
You are now requesting the ability to finish the roof and exterior siding of the wood
framed portion of the building in order to prevent potential deterioration. Although I
understand your position in requesting permission to complete this work, I cannot
juridically authorize this work to proceed unless we receive a definitive schedule on
resolution of the items that resulted in the original stop work order being enacted.
