CITY OF SPRINGFIELD, OREGON RESOLUTION NO. 04-48 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO A WARD COMPETITIVE BIDS AMOUNTING TO MORE THAN $15,000 DURING THE PERIOD OF DECEMBER 7, 2004, TO JANUARY 4, 2005, WHILE THE CITY COUNCIL IS IN RECESS. WHEREAS, there may occur the need to execute contracts which have been competitively bid for which funds have been budgeted or will be budgeted and included on the Council's Supplemental Budget request in December 2004, for which the lowest responsible bid is in excess of $15,000 and which for reasons of public welfare, safety, and cost effectiveness need to be awarded during the Council's holiday recess from December 7,2004 to January 4,2005. . NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Springfield as follows: During the City Council recess from December 7, 2004, to January 4,2005, the City Manager is hereby authorized to award competitive bid contracts for amounts for which the lowest responsible bid is in excess of $15,000 provided all applicable purchasing requirements of the Springfield Municipal Code are followed, and for which funds have been budgeted or will be budgeted and will be included on the Council's Supplemental Budget request in December 2004, and which for reasons of public welfare, safety, and cost effectiveness need to be awarded during the Council's holiday recess. This Resolution shall take effect on December 7, 2004 and shall elapse on January 5, 2005. Adopted by the Common Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of Springfield, Oregon this Sixth day of December, 2004. Adopted by a vote of ~ for and ~ against.
