SPRINGFIELD
NO. 2005 - -2-0-- 22
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD AMENDING AND RESTATING THE
CITY OF SPRINGFIELD, OREGON RETIREMENT PLAN.
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority granted by the Common Council of the City of
Springfield the City Manager adopted the September 2002 Restatement of the City of
Springfield, Oregon Retirement Plan and the First Amendment to the September 2002
Restatement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Springfield desires to clarify the City of Springfield, Oregon
Retirement Plan regarding which of the City's employee fringe benefit plans are to be considered
as part of the retirement benefits the City provides to its public safety employees participating in
the Retirement Plan, and also desires to clarify the Retirement Plan to provide that participants
do not earn benefits in the Retirement Plan for any period they earn PERS benefits or are
employed by the City in a position eligible for PERS membership;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Springfield as
follows:

Section 1. The City of Springfield adopts the May 2005 Restatement of the City of
Springfield, Oregon Retirement Plan.

Section 2. The City Manager is directed to execute the May 2005 Restatement on behalf
of the City of Springfield.
ADOPTED by the Common Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of
Springfield this 2d day of May, 2005.
