ITEM TITLE: BICYCLE & PEDESTRIAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS
ACTION
REQUESTED:
Appoint Deven Ralke to the Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee for a three-
year term, ending on December 31, 2027.
ISSUE
STATEMENT:
The Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) currently has one vacant
position due to an ongoing vacancy.
One person interviewed for the BPAC on April 8, 2024. Council gave direction to
appoint the applicant, Ms. Deven Ralke to serve a three-year term.

FINANCIAL
IMPACT:
The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC), which typically consists
of nine voting members, is seeking new members for one vacant seat. The BPAC
advises City Council and city staff on pedestrian and bicycle plans. The committee
was established to provide input on bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, policies.
programs, education, and enforcement. The committee has one multi year-long
vacancy.
Appointing one new member will provide the BPAC with a full committee.
