The position is available due to resignation. ATTACHMENTS: ATT 1: Interview Schedule ATT 2: Interview Questions ATT 3: Application – Josh Aguilar ATT 4: Police Advisory Committee Current Roster DISCUSSION/ FINANCIAL IMPACT: The Springfield Police Advisory Committee currently has a vacancy for a Cultural Minority Community Representative. The vacancy was created due to the resignation of the past committee member in June of 2023. The City received one application for the Cultural Minority Community Representative position on the Springfield Police Advisory Committee. An application was received from: Josh Aguilar. The recruitment was open multiple times in 2023 and early 2024. The Springfield Police Advisory Committee is currently a nine-member volunteer committee appointed by Council consisting of four neighborhood/citizen-at-large representatives, one School District 19 representative, one Willamalane Park and Recreation District representative, one representative of the local business community, one cultural minority community representative, and one faith community representative. Committee membership is a four-year term. The City Council decision for committee appointments is scheduled for the May 6, 2024 City Council Regular Session meeting.
