ISSUE STATEMENT: The Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) currently has two vacant positions, one due to an ongoing vacancy and one because of a resignation. Two people interviewed for the BPAC on March 11, 2023. Council gave direction to appoint one of the applicants, Ms. Jenya Lindstrom. The second applicant, Marshall Curry, lives outside the city limits and was therefore disqualified from serving on the committee. ATTACHMENTS: None DISCUSSION/ FINANCIAL IMPACT: The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC), which typically consists of nine voting members, is seeking new members for two vacant seats. The BPAC advises City Council and city staff on pedestrian and bicycle plans. The committee was established to provide input on bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, policies. programs, education, and enforcement. The committee has one multi year-long vacancy and committee member Chris Manuel resigned on Feb. 16, 2024. Appointing one new member will leave one remaining vacancy.
