The low bidder withdrew their bid and as a result Bridgeway Contracting, the second lowest responsible bid became our low bidder. Contract award to Bridgeway Contracting is now necessary to enable work to proceed. The work should be completed using the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds received from the Federal government. Contract DISCUSSION/ FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is a need for modernized and more accessible meeting and programming space in the library for the teen and children’s area which have reached capacity for collections. As part of the ARPA project prioritization Staff recommended relocating the City Manager’s office to the currently vacant and former Fire and Life Safety admin space to allow the Library to expand into the then vacated CMO space. Staff from both the library and CMO have worked with Pivot Architecture on the space redesigns and the work was competitively bid.
