Dear lt{s. West:
At your request, the Building Division of the City of Springfield made a Housing
Inspection on Novernber 9 , 7982 at the following locations.
The following items were found in need of repair or replacement to conform to the
Housing Code as adopted by the City of Springfield.
All applicable pernits must be obtained and all itens shall be installed in accor-
dance with applicable Codes and inspected before a Certificate of Compliance will
be issued.

1) The front bedroom must have a window with an openable area of
at least 4 square feet with no dinension less than 22 inches.
2) The rear exit door must be repaired.
3) No key was in the lock box. Rear door was open.

1) Every sleeping roon nust have one window with an openable area
of at least 4 square feet with no dinension less than 22 inches.
2)Remove automotive water hose from drain line at kitchen sink
and replace with approved trap and fittings
3) Install extension rings on electrical receptacles in paneled
walls.

4) The electrical wiring in the shop must be rewired in an ap-
proved manner. A11 splices must be in approved junction
boxes with lids.
5) Install caps on all unused gas lines.

1)Install extension sleeve on electrical receptacles in paneled
wal1s in room north of the kitchen (garage converted to fanily
room).
The chimney in the roon north of the kitchen is not approved
for use. It must be repaired (approved liner installed) re-
moved or sealed

3) The rafters for the carport are over span; 2" x 6tt - 24tt o,c,
and spliced in the niddle. The roof is leaking badly. The
mininum size rafter must be 2" x 8rr- 16" o.c.

1) Install screen on foundation vents. Screen shalL be corro-
sion resistant wire mesh not less than L/4tt nor nore than
L/Z't in any dinension.
2) Replace the electrical switch to the dining roon light.
3) Install extension sleeves on electrical receptacJ.es in paneled
walls.
4) The fire brick must be repaired or repLaced in the fireplace.
5) Repair tiLe and wal1 around bath tub and toil.et.
6) Replace toilet seat.
7) Replace glass in front bedroom window
8) Repair patio door latch.
9) Install approved pressure temperature relief valve on water
heater.
10) Repair copper water line to water heater, renove garden hose
section.

I have notified State Realty regarding the above mentioned properties and they
will get lock boxes on then as soon as possible.
