West U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Area Office Cascade Building 520 S.W. 6th Avenue Portland, Oregon 97204 Dear Ms. West: At your request, the Building Division of the City of Springfield made a Housing Inspection at the following locations on November 15, L982. The following items were found in need of repair or replacement to conforrn to the Housing Code as adopted by the City of Springfield. A11 applicable permits must be obtained and all itens sha1l be installed in accor- dance with applicable Codes and inspected before a Certificate of Cornpliance will be issued. 822348 378 North 26th Street 1) Insulating unions must be installed between copper and gal- vanized pipe and fittings at the water heaters in the house and garage. Mixing of dissirnilar metals in piping systems is not permitted. 2) The pressure temperature relief valve on the water heater in the house nust be piped down and to the outside of the house. 3) Install an approved pressure, temperature relief valve on the water heater in the garage.
