This inspection revealed some areas of concern that require your attention. They consist of the fol I owi ng: ELECTRI CAL 1. The r,riring splices below the electric wall heater in the living room must be enclosed in a junction box with approved bushings and wire nuts or by other approved method. The Electrica'l Specia'lty Code requires splices to be made in approved accessible junction boxes to protect combustible materials from possible failure of the splice. 2. An electric Iight fixture in the bedroom/bath is hang'ing from the ceiling by the wiring. The fixture must be secured to the ceiling to relieve the strain on the wiring. PLUMBING 1. The kitchen sink trap is leaking due to corrosion, and must be replaced in an approved manner, in order to maintain sanitar.v conditions. STRUCTURAL 1. There is evidence of leaks beg'inning in the roof adjacent to vents, and at walls adjacent to windows. The bottorn edge of the wall paneling on exterior walls has begun to deteriorate. The moisture problem should be remedied before deteriora- tion of paneling progresses to a deqree that ieopardizes the structural integrity of the manufactured unit. The Springfield Housjng Code spec'ifies that every dwelling unit and guest room shall be provided with heating faci'lities caoable of majntaining a room temperature of seventy degrees F.
