ISSUE STATEMENT: The Springfield Arts Commission has two (2) vacant positions due to the term expiring for Summer Young-Jelinek on December 31, 2023. One position remains vacant because it was not filled in the previous recruitment. One (1) applicant applied for the two (2) vacancies. ATTACHMENTS: 1: Arts Commission Interviews-Schedule Questions 2: Chris Rohaley Application DISCUSSION/ FINANCIAL IMPACT: The City received one (1) application for the two (2) vacancies during the most recent recruitment for the Springfield Arts Commission which closed October 6, 2023. The current vacancies are two (2) full-term with an expiration ending December 31, 2027. The Springfield Arts Commission requests the candidate be interviewed by the City Council. The Springfield Arts Commission believes the candidate is eligible and qualified to serve on the commission. Following the interview the Council will need to appoint one (1) applicant to one (1) of the two (2) full terms (ending December 31, 2027).
