HomeMy WebLinkAbout6.27.23 SEDA Special Session Minutes MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE SPRINGFIELD ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGENCY HELD TUESDAY JUNE 27, 2023 The Springfield Economic Development Agency (SEDA) met via Zoom on Tuesday, June 27th at 6:00pm for a Special Regular Session, Chair Pishioneri presiding. CALL TO ORDER Chair Joe Pishioneri called the SEDA meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. A quorum was present. ATTENDANCE Present were Chair Joe Pishioneri; Vice Chair Kori Rodley; Board Members Sean VanGordon, Michelle Weber, Steve Moe, David Loveall, and Victoria Doyle. STAFF PRESENT AJ Nytes, City Recorder; Niel Laudati, Assistant City Manager; Nancy Newton, City Manager; and Allie Camp, Staff Liaison. GUEST(S) Lorri Nelson, John Rowell, Rowell Brokaw Architects, Inc. Saumya Kini, Walker Macy Inc. BUSINESS FROM THE BOARD MOTION: Vice Chair Rodley moved, seconded by Board Member Webber to authorize the City Attorney to ask the Oregon Government Ethics Commission to determine whether there were any public official ethic violations under ORS. 244 related to the Masaka Properties, LLC requests to SEDA for Downtown Springfield Project funding. The motion passed — 7 in favor of, with one recused. Board Member Loveall recused himself. OLD BUSINESS 1. Glenwood Update Ms. Allie Camp introduced Architects Lorri Nelson and John Rowell from Rowell Brokaw; and Urban Designer Saumya Kini from Walker Macy. The consultants provided presentations explaining progress on the Glenwood Master Plan Area’s concept development. The Rowell Brokaw and Walker Macy Team are at stage three of the project and are beginning to conceptualize options for the physical framework for the roughly 30-acre piece of land.
