HomeMy WebLinkAbout4.24.23 SEDA Regular Session Minutes AKC EditedSEDA Board Meeting Minutes, 4/24/23, Page 1 of 2 MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE SPRINGFIELD ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGENCY HELD MONDAY, APRIL 24, 2023 The Springfield Economic Development Agency (SEDA) met in person and via Zoom on Monday, April 24th at 7:00 p.m., Mayor VanGordon presiding. CALL TO ORDER Chair Pishioneri called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. with roll call. A quorum was present. ATTENDANCE Present were Board Members Joe Pishioneri, Kori Rodley, Sean VanGordon, David Loveall, Steve Moe, Beth Blackwell, Victoria Doyle, and Michelle Webber. STAFF PRESENT City Recorder AJ Nytes, Assistant City Manager Niel Laudati, and Staff Liaison Allie Camp. CONSENT CALENDAR 1. MINUTES a. February 27th, 2023 Regular Session Minutes MOTION: Vice Chair Rodley moved to approve the Consent Calendar, seconded by Board Member Webber with a vote of 7 for 0 against 0 abstaining. COMMUNICATIONS 1. Business from the Audience - Daphne Mantis of West D. St, Springfield thanked the Board for renewing the practice of providing written minutes. 2. Correspondence- None 3. Business from the Staff- None PUBLIC HEARINGS None NEW BUSINESS 1. Development Values Ms. Allie Camp presented and requested feedback on this item to the board. She noted that the PDF and hard copy versions had different page numbers. Points discussed include: ● Density ● Engaging with developmental partners ● MUPTE ● Improving infrastructure ● Mixed use and workforce housing ● Support for auxiliary businesses ● Updating zoning standards to include new types of businesses ● Parking solutions ● South A bypass/redirecting traffic/2-way traffic on Main ● An archway or distinctive entry into town ● Revising design standards ● Preserving and emphasizing historic aspects SEDA Board Meeting Minutes, 4/24/23, Page 2 of 2 2. Glenwood Real Property Transaction – Cooper & Gross Ms. Allie Camp presented this item to the Board. MOTION: Vice Chair Rodley moved to authorize City Manager to enter into a purchase and sale agreement for one parcel of real property in the Glenwood Riverfront area map 17-03-34-42, tax lot 200, upon the terms described in the AIS and as substantially provided in Attachment 2, seconded by Board Member Webber with a vote of 8 for 0 against.
