MINUTES OF THE REGULAR SESSION MEETING OF
THE SPRINGFIELD PLANNING COMMISSION HELD
Tuesday, October 16, 2018
The City of Springfield Planning Commission met in a regular session in the City Council Chambers, 225 Fifth Street,
Springfield, Oregon, on Tuesday, Octoer 16, 2018 at 7:00 p.m., with Commissioner Koivula presiding.
ATTENDANCE
Present were Vice Chair Koivula, Commissioners Vohs, Landen, Sherwood, Bergen, Gill and McGinley. Also present
were, Interim Community Division Manager Sandy Belson, Assistant City Attorney Kristina Kraaz and Management
Specialist Brenda Jones and members of the staff.
ABSENT
None

REPORT OF COUNCIL ACTION
Sandy Belson presented the Planning Commission with an update of information from the October 15, 2018 City Council
Meeting. One of the topics before the City Council is the Budget. Councilor Stoerh also explained some of the ideas set
before them regarding budget.
Kristina Kraaz added about the information regarding the Sign Code topic.
BUSINESS FROM THE DEVELOPMENT AND PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
• Planning Commission Leadership- Sandy Belson, Interim Community Division Manager
The Commission needs to vote on a New Chair and Vice Chair
Andy Landen sits on the BPAC Committee
Tim Vohs sits on the CDAC Committee
The City Council Meetings, the Planning Commission needs to appoint a liason to the City Council .
