MUSEUM COMMITTEE APPLICANT APPOINTMENTS
ACTION
Appoint Kira Lesley and Tara Puyat to the Springfield History Museum Committee
REQUESTED:
with full terms expiring December 31, 2026.
ISSUE
The Museum Committee has two vacancies on its board of nine commissioners.
STATEMENT:
Three applicants applied for the vacancies created by the term expirations. Council
interviewed Tara Puyat, Kira Lesley, and Joshua Capp with a decision to appoint
two. Tara Puyat is reapplying for a second term.

DISCUSSION/
In response to a posting that closed February 10, 2023, three applications for the
FINANCIAL
Museum Committee were received from Joshua Capp, Kira Lesley, and Tara Puyat.
IMPACT:
Tara Puyat is reapplying, and Joshua Capp and Kira Lesley are new applicants.
Council interviewed Ms. Puyat, Ms. Lesley, and Mr. Capp at the Council work
session on March 13, 2023 and chose to appoint Ms. Puyat and Ms. Lesley to two
three year terms ending December 31, 2026.
The Museum Committee requests that the Council formally ratify the appointments
during the regular meeting.
