ITEM TITLE: ACCEPTANCE OF PROJECT P21114; VIRGINIA -DAISY IA.
ACTION
REQUESTED:
Adopt or reject the following resolution:
A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT CITY PROJECT P21114; VIRGINIA- DAISY
IA.
ISSUE
Knife River, Inc. has completed work for this project. City Staff has completed the
STATEMENT:
final inspection, paperwork, and approval. The Project is now ready for City
Council to formally accept the work.

DISCUSSION/
The Virginia -Daisy IA project was a locally delivered State Funded Project and
FINANCIAL
consisted of grinding and overlaying the existing asphalt roadway, construction of
IMPACT:
ADA ramps, sidewalks, driveways, a vegetated stormwater planter, raised
crosswalks, stormwater facilities, speed cushions, landscaping, signage, medians,
and striping.
This project has been completed with a final cost of $1,079,500.47.
All work under this contract has been completed and inspected by the City
Engineer or designee and found satisfactory. Project review was completed by
ODOT, and a final project acceptance has been completed.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT P21114
WHEREAS, work on the improvement described below has been fully completed and has been
duly inspected by the City Engineer of the City of Springfield: P21114 Virginia -Daisy 1A;
WHEREAS, said work was found to be in conformance with the terms of the Public
Improvement Permit and plans submitted by the Engineer of Record and approved by the City
Engineer; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Engineer that this Public Improvement Project
be accepted and permanently included in the improvement maintenance program of the City of
Springfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SPRINGFIELD:
Section 1: The Common Council of the City of Springfield does hereby accept for
future maintenance the above-described project and accepts said improvement from the
Developer involved.
Section 2: This Resolution will take effect upon adoption by the Council and
approval by the Mayor.
ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Springfield on this 6t" day of February
2023, by a vote of for and against.
