ACTION There are no formal actions requested of Council for this work session. However,
REQUESTED: staff requests that the Council discuss the following to finalize 2023 Council retreat
planning:
1. Will the City Council commit to attending the 2023 retreat in person?
2. What are the general parameters (month, date, timeframe) for scheduling
the 2023 Council retreat?
ISSUE The purpose of this work session is to review the 2022 Council retreat and to
STATEMENT: discuss general planning parameters for the 2023 Council retreat.
It should be noted that the 2022 Council retreat included lengthy discussion by
Council that was then grouped by the facilitator into general categories as agreed
upon by Council. These categories encompassed several similar topics.
Regarding Council prioritization, the list of items were a sample of the City's
numerous issues and initiatives. Additionally, items were prioritized relative to
each other. Readers should not necessarily infer those items listed as "low" priority
are not of concern to Council.
