Subject: Wetland Conservation and Drainageway Easement at Ambleside Meadows
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Carlock,
This letter is being sent to inform you of the Wetland Conservation and Drainageway Easement
located on your property. This easement was created by the Ambleside Meadows Subdivision to
protect andpresirve the wetland ecosystem known as the Irving Slough abutting your property to
the west. The restrictions placed on this easement are outlined in the Declaration of Protective
Covenants, Conditions ani Restrictions for Ambleside Meadows Subdivision (See attached
documents). These restrictions are in place to protect and preserve the integrity of the wetland
ecosystem and may be imposed through privati or public enforcement. In general the following
activities are permitted in the area of the easement
1. Individual homeowners may plant species associated with riparian areas as approved by
the Oregon Division of State Lands (See attached list)'
?. Existing non-native vegetation may be removed by hand provided it is replaced with
upp.orJd riparian vegeiation. For example, Blackberries and English Ivy may be
replaced with Salmonberry or Snowberry'
3. A tree determined to be dangerous by a certified arborist may be removed.
The placement of temporary or permanent structures and storage sheds, fencing, lawn furniture'
vehiiles, yard clippings in the easement area is prohibited'
