Rather than issuing a citation or im- mediately instituting Municipal Court proceedings, it is the Cityts standard prac- tice to inform citizens of the violation and request that it be corrected within a reasonable time. The attached form specifies the violation, the required corrections necessary in order to comply with the applicable Springfield Code and/or City Ordinances and the date by which your corrective action should be completed. A storage structure located at the above referenced address has been built without a permit and is in violation of the required five foot side yard setback in Residential Districts. REQUIRED CORRECTION: A building permit must be secured at the Springfield Public Works Department so that the building may be inspected for safety. The building will also have to be moved in order to comply with the reguired setbacks. Please read the en- closed brochure relative to submitting the required plans in order to secure the building perrnit. DEADLINE FOR COMPLIANCE: letter (May I1, 1985).
