Dear Ms. Morton,
The Springfield Zoning Map depicts the zone for Tax Lot 1005 as Low Density Residential
(LDR). The existing single family house and residential use of the property is a permitted use
in the zone. Please note there is a Metro Plan/zone conflict on this site. The Metro Plan
designates the property as Light-Medium lndustriil. However, this conflict does not affect
existing permitted uses allowed under the zone. ln the event that the property owner desired
to expand the residential use via'a partition or subdivision, the Plan designation would prevent
that expansion. lf the property owner desired to develop the property for industrial use, a
zone change would be required.
