As you requested I performed a site inspection on August 22,2002 at the above noted location. During
that inspection I made the following observations.
The existing shop is constructed with a stick framed roof structure that is supported on a bearing wall on
the south side and a continuous header on the north wall. The north wall has a 3 ft man door and 6 ft
sliding door hanging offthe header. The walls have been in filled wrthZx4 framing. The gable ends are
shared with the adjoining spaces. Damage to the building is as follows.
Fire in the building was limited to the space shown on the attached plan. The roof structure is a total loss
and should be repiaced in its entirety. The stud walls on the north and south sides of the building were
heavily charred and need to be replaced in their entirety. The header at the front wall is heavily charred
and nieds to be replaced. I foundno damage to the foundation of the structure. All new attachments need
to be made as detailed in the attached repair plan.
