REHABILITATION
ACTION
REQUESTED: Adopt or reject the following resolution:
A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT CITY PROJECT P21168; 2021 MAINTENANCE
HOLE REHABILITATION
ISSUE
STATEMENT:
The work on this project has been completed by Wildish Construction Company
and the final inspection, paperwork and approval has been completed by City Staff.
The Project is now ready for City Council to formally accept the work.

DISCUSSION/
Improvements for the 2021 Maintenance Hole Rehab project are complete. The
FINANCIAL
project consisted of frame adjustments on Ten (10) maintenance access holes at
IMPACT:
various locations along South A/Main St between 2nd and 18th St per ODOT
standard RD360. Construction activity involved saw -cutting and excavating
existing (deteriorated) asphalt surface surrounding the frame, replacing frame and
lid, and replacing surround with reinforced, early -strength concrete to match
existing road grade creating a smooth traveled surface.
This project has been completed with the final cost of $68,738.87.
All work done under this contract has been completed and inspected by the City
Engineer or designee and found to be satisfactory.

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT P21168
WHEREAS, work on the improvement described below has been fully completed and has been duly
inspected by the City Engineer of the City of Springfield: P21168, 2021 Maintenance Hole Rehabilitation
Project;
WHEREAS, said work was found to be in conformance with the terms of the Capital Improvement
plans submitted by the Engineer of Record and approved by the City Engineer;
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Engineer that this Capital Improvement Project be
accepted and permanently included in the improvement maintenance program of the City of
Springfield,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD:
Section 1: The Common Council of the City of Springfield does hereby accept for future
maintenance the above-described project and accepts said improvements.
Section 2: This Resolution will take effect upon adoption by the Council.
ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Springfield this 6th day of June, 2022, by a
vote of for and against.
