Lane County Assessment and Taxation records reveal that you are the owner of this property. Section 206 (a) of the Springfield Building Safety Code Administrative Code states, "It shall be unlawful for any person, to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair) move, improve, remo\/e, convefi or demolish, equip, use occupy or nraiutain any building, structure or building service equipment or cause or pemrit the same to be done in violation of this Code and the Specialty Codes". When I went to you residence, no one appeared to be irorne, so I left rny business card. You phoned me and I explained to you I had visited your property due to a complaint we received regarding tire consttliction of a garage without the required permits. I explained that in order to be in compliance, you needed to submit drawings of your construction project to the City for the pian review staff to examine and once that was complete, building permits rvere required for the construction of the building. You stated at that time, you were under extreme depression due to a recent death in the family and would be contacting us soon with plans for the garage and obtain the required permits for the construction of the building. As of today, the City has not received construction plans for garage to review, and the City continues to receive complaints. 847 South 47th Street April 8, 2004 Page 2. Please submit plans for the garage within 10 days from the date of this letter. If plans are not submitted u'ithin the timeframe specified, tire City may seek compiiance with B;ilding Safety Codes through legal recourse. Your anticipated courtesy and cooperation is appreciated.
