ITEM TITLE: COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE APPOINTMENT
ACTION
Appoint Rebecca Cashero to the Community Development Advisory Committee to
REQUESTED:
finish out the term of a vacated position, ending December 31, 2023.
ISSUE
The Community Development Advisory Committee has one vacant position due to
STATEMENT:
the resignation of one board member. This position has two years remaining on the
current term.
Four applications were received for one opening.

DISCUSSION/
Rebecca Cashero was one of four applicants to be on the Community Development
FINANCIAL
Advisory Committee (CDAC). She was interviewed by Council during the
IMPACT:
2/28/2022 work session. Council gave their approval for her to be appointed to the
Committee.
The CDAC provides recommendations to the City Council on the best use of the
City's allotment of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and
HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds. These funds support
housing programs, social services, affordable rental and home ownership housing
development, neighborhood revitalization activities, parks and street construction
and downtown redevelopment.
