5" STREET APARTMENTS DRAINAGE STUDY
March 25, 2022
SITE CHARACTERISTICS
The subject properly is identified on County Assessor's Maps as 17-03-26-24-3300. It is located on the west side of 5"
Street, south of S St. The site is an open field and consists of about 0.53 acres.
EXISTING HYDROLOGY
The site is relatively flat and portions of the site drain to the north. The 10 -year pre -development runoff is 0.17 c.f.s.
PROPOSED HYDROLOGY
The post development runoff will be limited to the pre -development runoff of 0.17 c.f.s. via an infiltration/detention pond.
An infiltration test was performed on March 25, 2022 and an infiltration rale of 4" per hour was observed. The calculations
are based on 2" per hour, giving a factor of safely equal to 2. Attached are the calculations.
CONCLUSION
Based on my calculations and the proposed drainage system is sized properly and will provide the necessary flow control.
