NOTICE OF DECISION
APPLICANT: Trygve S. Vik
ADDRESS: Northwest corner of 18th and Olympic Streets
DATE: August 25, 1983
CASE N0: 85-10
VARIANCE REQUEST: The applicant requested a variance from Section 4.05 A. of the
Springfield Zoning Code relative to the requried front yard setback in the Community
Commercial (CC) District. The applicant wishes to erect a building approxinately
3.5t fron the Olympic Street property line rather than the requried L0' setback.
CITY REFERENCE: Section 4.05 A. of the Springfield Zoning Code.
At the Board of Appeals meeting held on August 11, 1983, the Board of Appeals rendered
the following decision regarding the above referenced variance request:
_X _Approved Denied
FINDINGS OF FACT:
1) No safety hazard is presented by the variance request because no access it taken
from that portion of Olympic Street.
2) Because of the small size of the lot and the unusual configuration of the right
of way, the setback variance can be justified.
