Pl att : The public sanitary sewer lateral recently constructed alonq 17th, 18th, and S Streets has been accepted by the City Council and is now available to serve your property. In this regard, Chapter 2, Article 10 of the Springfield City Code requires that al1 property withjn 120 feet of a public serer lateral connect thereto. Therefore, please accept thjs'as your inv'itation and notice to connect to the publjc seler. The connect'ion should be completed by you, or by a private contractor hired-by you, on or before June 2, 1980. When you (or your contractor) are ready to begin work, please remember that it will be necessary to obtain a plumbing permit from th'is office. Also, Chapter 2, Article 10 of the City Code requries that a $100.00 connection fee be paid prior to connecting to the public sewer. For your convenience, thjs fee may be paid at the time you obtajn the plumbing permit. Please also be adv'ised that an inspection is required after the sewer pipe is placed in the trench, but before the trench js filled. Either you or your contractor shoul d pl ace an i nspect'ion request with our inspection I'ine (726-3769) when this stage of construction is reached.
